Kirk A. Schnitker
Principal Shareholder of Schnitker & Associates, P.A.

 

Mr. Schnitker is founder and owner of Schnitker & Associates, P.A., and Professional Redevelopment Resources, Inc. His duties include both management of day-to-day business operations and providing legal and consulting services.  Mr. Schnitker founded Schnitker & Associates, P.A., in 1993 after graduating from Hamline Law School, in St. Paul.

His specific working experience involves acquisition and relocation laws and regulations, as well as housing and redevelopment activities. Mr. Schnitker has been involved in hundreds of commercial, industrial, single-family and multi-family acquisitions and relocation projects and has worked on dozens of development projects from site acquisition through construction.

Mr. Schnitker served on the Champlin City Council and is a past member of the Champlin Planning Commission. Mr. Schnitker is a past President of the Champlin Economic Development Authority and Commissioner on the Metropolitan Council’s Metropolitan Parks and Open Space Commission. He is a past member of the American Indian Law and Policy Research Institute based at Hamline University School of Law and the Minnesota Outdoor Heritage Alliance. Currently, Mr. Schnitker serves as a Hennepin County Conciliation Court Referee and has been appointed by the District Court to act as a referee in eminent domain matters.

 

The following is Mr. Schnitker’s work experience before he became a licensed attorney:

 

1980 - 1989: He worked in Community Development with the Dakota County Housing and Redevelopment Authority in the southeastern area of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

1978 - 1980: He worked with the St. Cloud Minnesota Housing and Redevelopment Authority as a Community Development Assistant.


Mr. Schnitker has a B.A. from St. Cloud State University and a Juris Doctor from Hamline University School of Law. Mr. Schnitker is a licensed attorney in the State of Minnesota.

 

Jon W. Morphew
Associate Attorney of Schnitker & Associates, P.A.

Mr. Morphew practices primarily in the area of relocation law with an emphasis on business/commercial relocation.  Mr. Morphew also practices in the area of real estate law and litigation.  In addition, Mr. Morphew has argued numerous cases before the Minnesota Court of Appeals. 

Mr. Morphew is currently the Secretary of the Minnesota Eminent Domain Institute and is a former member of the Elk River Planning Commission. Mr. Morphew has also been a contributing author on several Minnesota Continuing Legal Education seminars on the issue of relocation law and eminent domain.

Mr. Morphew has his B.A. from the University of Northern Iowa and Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law. Mr. Morphew is a licensed attorney in the State of Minnesota.
